| Bio description: | In my years at UC Davis, I spent time tutoring as a Learning Assistant, TA, private tutor, and tutor employed by UC Davis itself. I have taken a tutoring seminar which and attended training with graduate TA's who have taught me a variety of teaching methods.
After TAing for a genetics professor, I was able to create a private tutoring business by word of mouth. I have been a TA for genetics, a University employed, private tutor for anatomy, physiology, English, organic chemistry, and general chemistry. Moreover, I have held office hour group sessions in general biology, genetics, and organic chemistry. I have over 4 years of experience privately tutoring middle school, high school, and college students.
I have helped students learn material, but more importantly grow confident in applying themselves to challenging material. Students are able to take methods I teach them and apply them to their other classes. |
